Welcome to Dirshoo – the blog of some of the Rabbeim and teachers of The Yeshiva at IDT.

“Dirshoo haShem b’Himatzo k’ra-uhu bh’yoso karov” – Seek haShem (G-d) where he can be found call to him when he is close. Since traditional Jewish belief holds that haShem is everywhere the implication of this verse is tgat one ought to seek the Godliness in all things and in so doing bring Him increasingly into our experience of reality so that we will feel close and be comfortable in calling out to Him thereby strengthening our relationship with Him. With our blog we intend to do just that – attempting to see haShem in all that we can and trying to use those glimpses of Him as part of our ongoing efforts in Avodas haShem.

This will undoubtedly mean that you will find vast differences in the content and style of each of our posts but that is as it should be as the Avodas haShem of one person can never be completely identical to another’s. Hopefully, in the mix, you will find something inspiring or thought provoking that you can use in your personal journey through life.
